October 31 , 2007 ( Chatham , New Jersey ) Commonwealth Worldwide Chauffeured Transportation today announced the adoption of the FleetBOOK system to manage affiliate reservations in the industry's first network-wide application. Commonwealth—a leading chauffeured limousine service provider with offices in Boston and New York—operates a network of affiliated companies that comprises more than 400 service providers in every primary and secondary market both domestically and internationally. Previously, managing farm-out ride data among its affiliates and the home office was a daunting task, given the lofty level of customer service Commonwealth demands. “Our customers deserve the highest quality service, both in their local and destination cities”, said Tami Saccoccio, National Affiliate Director of Commonwealth. “We carefully screen, select and monitor every one of our affiliates on a daily basis to insure that the level of quality across our entire network remains consistent. By employing FleetBOOK, we are able to distribute and manage the rides much more efficiently among our affiliates, allowing us to focus on quality control and let the au toma tion do the process work.” Acting as a central switch, FleetBOOK enables limousine companies to select reservations they wish to “farm out” to an affiliate and au toma tically have the data entered into the affiliate's system, returning confirmation numbers and any status updates. Modifications and cancellations are handled in a similar style. FleetBOOK has formed technical alliance with the industry's leading software providers, allowing ride data to flow seamlessly among limousine providers using dissimilar systems, also an industry first. Mark Kenny of FleetBOOK said, “We are delighted to have one of the industry's premier network providers select FleetBOOK to handle its affiliate transactions. Commonwealth's reputation for stringent quality control makes it doubly satisfying. The company realizes that while significantly driving down process costs is important, the greatest value is in increasing service quality and, by extension, customer satisfaction. That's Commonwealth's goal and we're proud to be part of that.” The FleetBOOK business model is also unique to an industry where costs are high and profits remain tight. Its low transaction fee and non-restrictive service agreement allow the smallest provider to take advantage of the benefits without a huge financial commitment. Large network providers and smaller operators can now communicate on an even basis, bringing reduced costs and allowing more resources to go toward servicing the customer. Commonwealth plans a structured roll out of FleetBOOK to its affiliate base over the next few months. FleetBOOK is an open system which allows limousine service providers to manage farm out data among affiliates using dissimilar systems. Software partners include a growing number of providers along with first adopters Livery Coach, ULS, Trip Tracker , FastTrak, LMS Gold. Contact info: Bruce Davidson |
